Testimonies from Côte d'Ivoire

Thank you to STW for your gift of materials for AIDS education here on the Ivory Coast. People are coming to the Lord through this ministry. Here are some testimonies we have heard:
- Our brothers who are HIV positive appreciated the way we showed them that they could have HIV virus in their bodies and yet live in good health with ART, because for them they felt hopeless. We also shared that Jesus loves them and died for them.
- During one film projection session a Muslim person complained that the film that we projected spoke about HIV and the God speech. They wanted to know the link between HIV and the Gospel. We try to bring the gospel message through certain of our films whereas when the film is not based on the God speech, we make a link between the position of the God speech in the practice of abstinence.
We are very grateful to the youth of God Church of God in USA who have shown a real concern to support us in carrying out our objectives. We educate the people about AIDS and HIV and share that Jesus loves them and died for them. We want them to know the link between hope and the Gospel. We bring the Gospel message through our films and teach them about God's plan in the practice of abstinence.

Exciting Evangelism is happening here. At a Friday evening event, there was no electricity, but they used the generator provided by Spread the Word. It was so cool-- they were able to watch the video on both sides of the sheet, so the people made a huge circle around the sheet used as a screen. The pastor did a very good job on his sermon about how God supplies the needs in our lives. There were at least 600 people in attendance, and 52 persons accepted the Lord.
