| Mark Shaner | |
In his 23 years of serving in youth ministry, Mark has gained much expereince working with students and churches. He has a passion to see students become the leaders God has created them to be. He has led more than fifty work camps and numerous retreats; played a major role in birthing a church in Chelyabinsk, Russia; spent six years as a baseball chaplain with the Dodgers and the Royals; and has biked 1,425 miles from Lake Wales, Fla. to Buffalo, N.Y. Most importantly, Mark has been married to Vickie for 25 years and is the father of Gina, 22, Zach, 18, Austin, 10, andTimothy, 8. Mark has an incredible heart for those he workds with and for God's church. He is committe to equipping future leaders of the church and further developling those now in leadership. He loves to talk about inner life and character issues in the lives of leaders. He firmly belives that if we lose this generation of young people, it will not be because we challenged them too much but too little and that you can impress from a distance, but you impact up close.
